The Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission (MPPDC) is seeking proposals from experienced, innovative firms to support a major regional resilience effort: the Guinea Resilience & Innovation for Tidal Wetlands (GRIT) – Phase I Project.
The selected firm will serve as the prime technical contractor, responsible for developing a Comprehensive Existing Conditions Report, producing conceptual design alternatives, finalizing a Basis of Design report for the selected concepts, conducting feasibility and land conservation analyses to support long-term coastal resilience planning, and summarizing the regulatory requirements and pathways for project execution.
This procurement utilizes competitive negotiation for professional services in accordance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA) and must comply with federal grant requirements under 2 CFR 200 and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) grant conditions.
