
The Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission (MPPDC) is seeking a full-time Fight the Flood Project Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of this regional flood resilience program designed to help coastal communities reduce risk and build long-term resilience.
About the Role
Fight the Flood connects homeowners, businesses and local partners with resources to address flooding through technical assistance, mitigation projects and funding support. The Fight the Flood Project Manager will coordinate projects such as septic upgrades, living shorelines and other flood resilience improvements while supporting residents and partners throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate resilience and mitigation projects across the region.
- Provide technical assistance and guidance to homeowners and local partners.
- Support outreach and community engagement efforts.
- Manage contractor coordination, site visits and project documentation.
- Track timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements.
Position Details
- Salary: $60,000–$70,500
- Status: Full-time, grant-funded (two years of secured funding)

- Work Environment: Hybrid/remote flexibility when feasible
- Travel: Local and regional travel for site visits and meetings required
